Group Link
A short series pointed at one sign-up weekend where people meet a leader in person. The connection event matters more than the series itself does.
Sermon series ideas · Small groups
A groups launch is a marketing problem and a content problem at once. People need a reason to join and leaders need something to run once they've got a room.
These ideas are built to be preached and discussed in the same week, so the sermon's doing the recruiting and the guide does the rest.
The work in the gallery is ours. We’ve designed 30 approved pieces that match this topic for churches around the country, and you’re seeing the most recent of them.
The ideas
01
A short series pointed at one sign-up weekend where people meet a leader in person. The connection event matters more than the series itself does.
02
Four weeks on shared meals and honest conversation. It sets expectations for what a group night's actually like.
03
A sermon series where the group guide is the questions people submitted. Groups fill faster when the discussion's the draw.
04
Weeks on commitment and staying with a group past the awkward first month. Preach it in week three of a launch rather than in week one.
05
A recruiting arc aimed at new group leaders rather than at members. Most churches cap group growth on leaders and won't say so from the platform.
06
A short-term group model with a defined end date, promoted as a trial rather than a commitment. It's the easiest yes you'll ever offer a hesitant attender.
Real work
Approved pieces from real churches. Title slides, promo sets, print and apparel, at each piece's true proportions because we don't crop work to fit a grid.

Graphics like these come with every plan. See how your Squad’s graphics team works or check what a plan costs.
Planning
The discussion guide has the same deadline as the first slide. Leaders need it a week early to prepare, which means it's due before the series launches and not during it.
Group sign-up graphics need the meeting night, the neighborhood and the leader's first name. Those three details'll close more sign-ups than any headline.
Every other topic we’ve built is on the sermon series ideas hub.
Small groups
Late August or early September, with a second smaller launch in January.
Aligning them raises participation, because a member who's missed Sunday still gets the content in the group.
A series title slide, a sign-up graphic, a leader recruiting piece and a printed group directory or card for the lobby.
Tell us the series and the date. Your Squad builds the slides, the social set and the print, and you'll spend that week on the message instead of on the artwork.
