FAQs
The questions churches ask before they sign.
Plans run 7 to 15 active projects depending on the tier, revisions are included until the work is right, and you keep the source files either way.
Working with us
Who you are dealing with, and what the day to day actually looks like.
Who is actually doing the work?
A real Squad of church creatives, many of them former church staff who have run a communications calendar themselves. You are not routed to a different stranger each week.
Do we need to buy seats for our team?
No. Your kids director, worship pastor, and communications lead can all submit directly at no extra cost. Routing everything through one person is the bottleneck we are trying to remove.
How should we film video before sending it to you?
Shoot horizontally unless the piece is for stories or reels, get the microphone close to whoever is talking, and light faces from the front rather than the window behind them. Those three cover most of what comes back needing a reshoot. The two guides below go through the rest, including framing, file formats and what to send us.
What happens to a project after we submit it?
It lands in Open, and our project manager moves it from there: into Received once we have everything we need, or into More Info Needed if something is missing. Leave it where it is in either case, because moving it yourself is how a project gets lost. When your designer finishes, it moves to a column with a Dropbox link to your files, and you either approve it or send feedback. The walkthrough below has the whole board.
Plans and scope
What a plan covers, and what happens at the edges of it.
What happens if we submit more than our plan covers?
Nothing breaks and nothing is lost. Your plan sets how many graphic and video projects run at once, and we start the next one as soon as a slot opens. Keeping the number capped is what stops your work sitting half-finished behind somebody else's.
Can we change plans later?
Yes, and we make it easy. Moving up a plan starts a fresh 12-month agreement at the new plan’s rate from the day you switch, and your old agreement closes out with nothing owed. Moving down a plan waits until your current term ends. On a month-to-month plan, changes simply apply from your next billing cycle.
Graphics and video
How many projects run at once, and what happens when you want changes.
How many graphic and video projects can we have going at once?
Your plan sets how many graphic and video projects are actively in production at a time: 15 on All-In Premium, 15 on All-In, 12 on Graphics + Video, 7 on Graphics. When one finishes, the next one starts. Nothing expires and nothing is wasted. On the All-In tiers, website support and brand support don’t count toward that number. They each have their own: one sermon upload a week plus one active website task, and one active brand request at a time. Submit as much as you like, anything over your limit simply queues.
Can we control the order our queued projects run in?
Yes. Your member portal at requests.thesqd.com includes Manage My Queue: it shows what is actively in production and what is waiting, and you can drag your queued projects into whatever order matters most to you. You can also pause any project (it shows as ON HOLD) and resume it when you are ready, and the next item in your order moves up as slots open.
What if we don’t like a design?
Send it back and we will fix it, at no extra charge. Most churches find the Squad learns their taste within the first few projects.
Social media
What we post, what we schedule, and what stays with your team.
Websites
What web support covers each week, and what counts as a redesign.
How much website work is included?
Your sermon goes up every week and never counts against anything else. Separately, one support request is worked at a time: a text or image change, a new page, an event or staff update, a blog post, a technical fix. Submit as many as you want. They wait in line and move up as each one finishes.
Does website support include a redesign?
No. Support maintains the site you already have. A full build is All-In Premium, and that includes support on the new site after it launches. If someone else built your site, we work inside what their builder allows. When a change would break your layout, we say so instead of shipping it.
How fast do website updates happen?
Sermon uploads posted the same day when they are in by Monday noon Central. Text, image, event, and staff updates run 3 to 4 business days. A new page takes 5 to 10, so give it about three weeks if it is tied to a date.
Branding
How a brand gets built, and what happens to the logo you already have.
How long does branding take, and what do we actually get?
About 6 to 10 weeks from the strategy brief. You see two vision boards and pick a direction, then a full logo system with its variations, then a published online brand guide your whole staff can reach. Your time in it is roughly 8 to 12 hours, almost all of it reviewing.
What if we already have a logo we like?
We keep it. We skip the logo phases and build the online brand guide around what you already have, so your team stops working from a PDF that went out of date two rebrands ago. The price does not change.
Can our ministries get their own branding?
Yes, on All-In Premium. Kids, students, and groups can each get a mark and palette of their own, and you choose whether they read as siblings to the main brand or as cousins. Each one lands in the same online guide.
Does branding include custom maps or custom illustrations?
No. A brand build covers your marks, palette, typography, and the published guide. Custom maps and custom illustrations are separate work with their own scope, so ask your account manager about them directly. Logo and brand work itself is available on the All-In plans.
Creative direction
The strategy that runs ahead of the design work.
What does creative direction actually do?
It settles the idea before anyone opens a design file. Your creative director sits down with you, builds a style guide out of what your church actually likes, then sets the direction for a series or a campaign. The graphics, the video, and the social then come from one idea instead of three.
When should we ask for creative direction instead of just requesting a design?
Ask first when the thing is big or spans several projects: a sermon series, a major event, a campaign that runs for weeks. Skip it for a one-off flyer. Direction requests come back in about 3 to 5 business days, so ask before the design work starts rather than after.
Billing and commitment
The terms, in the words we would use on the phone.
Is there a setup fee?
No. Onboarding, brand setup, and account access are part of the plan.
Your files
Who owns what we make.
Who owns the work?
You do, including the editable source files, and it stays yours whether or not you remain a member.
Still stuck on something? Ask on the call. We would rather over-explain now than surprise you after you have signed.

Do you run our social accounts, or just make the content?
We make the content and, on All-In Premium, schedule it for you. Replying to comments and messages stays with your team, since those conversations are pastoral and belong to people who know the person asking. Your accounts stay yours, and you can post alongside us whenever you want.
