Vision Sunday
One weekend that names where the church is going and what it's asking of people. Treat it as its own design job rather than as the January series' opening slide.
Sermon series ideas · New year and vision
January is the one Sunday of the year when people arrive already wanting to change something. A church that hasn't planned anything spends that goodwill on a recap of last year.
These ideas are built for a vision Sunday and the three or four weeks that follow it, which is where a January push usually falls apart.
The work in the gallery is ours. We’ve designed 28 approved pieces that match this topic for churches around the country, and you’re seeing the most recent of them.
The ideas
01
One weekend that names where the church is going and what it's asking of people. Treat it as its own design job rather than as the January series' opening slide.
02
Four weeks on what actually changes a person, aimed at the resolution crowd without mocking them. It hands a January guest a reason to come back in February, which is that month's whole job.
03
A short series about seeing the same year differently rather than making a different plan for it. Good for a church that ran a heavy vision push last January and can't repeat it.
04
A prayer and fasting series that opens the year, with daily content running alongside the weekend messages. The daily piece is the part that needs design attention early.
05
Three weeks on what gets the opening hour of a day, the earliest dollar of a paycheck and the thought you wake up with. Direct, and it sets up the giving conversation without making January about the budget.
06
A series that walks the congregation through one concrete goal per week. A church with a building project or a launch will get more from this than from a themed arc.
Real work
Approved pieces from real churches. Title slides, promo sets, print and apparel, at each piece's true proportions because we don't crop work to fit a grid.

Planning
Design January in November. The week between Christmas and New Year is the worst production week you'll have, and a vision Sunday built in that window always shows it.
Vision Sunday needs more than a title slide. Print for the lobby, a giving graphic, a social set and something a person can take home all get used the same morning.

Every other topic we’ve built is on the sermon series ideas hub.
New year and vision
The first Sunday of January for a vision weekend, with the series proper starting the following week once the holiday crowd has settled.
Three to five weeks. It should finish before the February slump rather than run into it.
The year, one sentence of direction, and one action. A vision slide that lists five priorities is one nobody's going to remember by Tuesday.
Tell us the series and the date. Your Squad builds the slides, the social set and the print, and you'll spend that week on the message instead of on the artwork.
