Logo Designer

The Position
Church Media Squad is looking for a Logo Designer to join our growing Squad. At Church Media Squad, we exist to make church media better by helping local ministries with all of their media-related needs.
As part of the All In plan, our branding process is strategic, collaborative, and designed to help churches communicate who they are, visually and missionally. The Logo Designer will bring these identities to life by crafting meaningful, mission-aligned logos that serve as the foundation for a church’s brand.
This position will work closely with the Brand Director, supporting and sharing the creative load across branding projects. The Logo Designer will execute creative deliverables with excellence, creating logos, vision boards, and supporting design elements for churches and their ministries.
We’re looking for a dependable, detail-oriented designer with a strong eye for brand identity and a heart for the Church. The ideal candidate will be collaborative, responsive, and able to balance creativity with consistency.
All Church Media Squad employees work completely remote. Full-time employees receive a company MacBook Pro after their first six weeks. Church Media Squad is an Apple-only environment.
About Church Media Squad:
Church Media Squad is based out of Salt Lake City, UT. The state of Utah has the lowest percentage of Christians in the country, with the Salt Lake Valley having less than 5% who consider themselves part of the Christian faith. Our Founder’s goal and hope is to be part of God's transformative movement in the Salt Lake Valley by making our base of operations here and helping church plants in Salt Lake Valley.

Qualifications:
2–4 years of experience in logo or brand identity design (church, agency, or nonprofit experience strongly preferred)
A strong portfolio showcasing custom logos and branding systems
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; familiarity with Figma is a plus
Comfortable working from creative briefs, strategy notes, and internal feedback
Organized, dependable, and able to thrive in a systematized, fast-paced creative environment
A heart for the local church and a passion for helping ministries express their identity visually
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, especially in remote team settings
Familiarity with these tools is a plus but not required: ClickUp, Slack, Dropbox, Standards Online Brand Guide Builder
We are particularly interested in applicants with experience working with churches. This firsthand experience enables us to better serve the church staff we collaborate with daily.
Responsibilities:
Create original logos for churches and ministries, including main church brands, sub-ministries (kids, students, outreach, etc.), and special initiatives like capital campaigns or seasonal themes.
Translate brand strategy into visually compelling logo designs that are clear, flexible, and aligned with the church’s voice and mission.
Contribute to the creation of vision boards when logo volume is lower, supporting the Brand Director in interpreting brand strategy into mood, tone, and aesthetic.
Assist in polishing and updating brand guides, ensuring visual consistency and clarity across all deliverables.
Work under the direction of the Brand Director to ensure design decisions align with strategy and client identity.
Maintain a close working relationship with Account Managers to stay informed on church context, voice, and evolving needs.
Assist in building and polishing brand guides using Church Media Squad’s chosen online platform (Standards), ensuring that visual identity assets are organized, clear, and ready for long-term use.
Be responsive to feedback and proactive in communicating workload, progress, and creative questions.
Ensure all logo and brand assets meet quality standards and are delivered in appropriate formats for print, digital, and web use.
Support long-term brand clarity by designing with flexibility and scalability in mind.

This is a W2 Employee position with a starting pay range of $26.44 - $29.5.
