Church Media Squad exists to make church media better. We partner with local churches to support their ministries through graphic design, video production, communication and social strategy, website development, and full-scale branding.
While we serve churches nationwide, our headquarters are based in Salt Lake City, Utah—one of the least churched regions in the United States. Our founder’s vision is to support God’s transformative work in the Salt Lake Valley and beyond by equipping church plants and ministries with high-quality creative support.

The Position
Church Media Squad is looking for a Social Media Content Manager to join our growing Squad. At Church Media Squad, we exist to make church media better by helping local church ministries with graphic and video production, communication and social strategy, website strategy, and full-scale branding.
This role focuses on helping churches extend their message beyond Sunday by creating thoughtful, strategic social media content that reflects the heart of each sermon.
The Social Media Content Manager will primarily be responsible for reviewing sermon material, writing captions, identifying strong quotes for reels, and populating designed carousel templates in Photoshop.
Qualifications:
Proven experience managing or creating social media content, especially for churches or non-profits
Strong writing and content editing skills with a focus on clarity and engagement
Working knowledge of Photoshop (beginner to intermediate)
Familiarity with sermon structure and church communications
Able to self-manage time and meet weekly deliverables without heavy oversight
Comfortable using ClickUp, Slack, Dropbox, and Google Drive
Responsibilities:
Review sermon video or notes submitted by churches and extract strong quotes, moments, and takeaways
Write clear, compelling captions that connect with each church’s audience and message
Select short clips for reels based on sermon content and submit for basic editing
Use Photoshop to populate carousel templates with key takeaways or scriptures
Coordinate with our internal team through ClickUp and Slack for project updates
Communicate clearly and promptly with Project Managers and follow weekly content deadlines
Maintain high attention to tone, theological nuance, and alignment with each church’s communication style
Work Schedule
Monday–Friday
Squad Members schedule their 8 working hours within a flexible 12-hour availability window aligned to a U.S. time zone (7:00 AM–7:00 PM). This flexibility enables us to collaborate effectively and respond promptly to partner needs across different time zones.
Location & Eligibility:
Preference is given to candidates located in supporting U.S. states or North American countries.

Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly starting pay range (U.S.): $27.88 - $29.33 per hour
This is a W2 employee position, if located in the United States.
Compensation ranges are location-specific. Candidates applying from outside the listed regions will discuss market-specific pay and benefits with the hiring manager early in the process.
Full-time Squad Members receive a company-issued MacBook Pro after six weeks of employment
